The director general of the Civil Guard, Arsenio Fernandez de Mesa, has given the Duque de Ahumada prize for Safety Measures during the closure of the II Civil Guard- Company days developed in the General Directorate of the Civil Guard.

Grupo SANJOSE has been awarded the prize for the history of cooperation, highlighting its altruistic collaboration during the natural disaster in Nepal, and for the proactive support to the Mountain Rescue Team belonging to The Spanish Civil Guard who served in Nepal. The company support was essential before and during the development of the operational activities on site.

Jacinto Rey, Chairman of Grupo SANJOSE received the award on behalf of the company through Fernández de Mesa. In his speech of thanks he noted that there are now more than forty-five years working with various state administrations in implementing numerous unique works of different types but he emphasized the construction works of the single headquarters, carried out for the Spanish Army abroad, in Istok (Kosovo), on 2001. He recalled that "it was held in very difficult conditions, transporting all the material from Spain, two thousand kilometers away, going through conflict areas and managing in record time to provide decent housing for more than a thousand men and women of our military and Civil Guard.”

Finally, he thanked the received prize and noted that "it is a great satisfaction for all SANJOSE professionals to receive this award from this praiseworthy institution for having cooperated with it to help our compatriots who were caught by the earthquake of Nepal".
