National Highways Authority of India, the national public authority responsible for the management of the Indian highway network, has awarded Sanjose Constructora the design and rehabilitation of the stretch Raebarely - NH-232 in Uttar Pradesh for $70 million and an estimated term of 30 months.

The stretch object of the contract has a total length of 133 km and shall have two lanes and pave shoulders all along its route.

The reconstruction and improvement of this highway is of great strategic importance as it is located in the southern area of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of India with over 200 million inhabitants. This road connects Uttar Pradesh with Madhya Pradesh, a state located in the centre of the country and crosses road NH-24B connecting  Lucknow and Allahabad, the most important cities of the state.

The implementation of this important project guarantees the safe and rapid movement between Raebarely and Banda and ensures a substantial reduction in terms of vehicle operating costs and travel time for users. Additionally, works performed by Sanjose will result in the development of basic infrastructure in the region, which ultimately boosts overall economic development of the state.
