SANJOSE will Carry Out Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Policarpo Sanz 23 Office Building in Vigo, Pontevedra

Retail Company 2021 has awarded SANJOSE Constructora the contract for the integral rehabilitation of Policarpo Sanz 23, an iconic architectural landmark in Vigo, under LEED certification. Designed by French architect Michel Pacewicz in 1897, the building served as the residence of Nobel Prize-winning author Camilo José Cela between 1921 and 1925 and later became the headquarters of Banco de Galicia and Banco Santander.

The complex, listed in the PEEC (Special Plan for Conservation of Architectural Elements with a high aesthetic value and secondary environmental significance), is divided into three sections: the main original building, an annex building, and an intermediate structure.
