SANJOSE Chile has Awarded Concession for Talca Penitentiary Facility in the Maule Region

The Chilean Ministry of Public Works, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, has awarded SANJOSE Constructora Chile, in a joint venture with Grupo Norde Chile, the concession for the development, operation, and maintenance of the new Talca Penitentiary Facility for 15 years.

The penitentiary complex, spanning 63,570 square meters, will include 14 detention modules with a maximum capacity for 2,320 prisioners. In addition to the detention areas, the facility will feature infrastructure for social reintegration, healthcare, and food services, all operated by the concessionaire.

The operation of the Talca Penitentiary Facility involves providing services such as catering, cleaning, laundry, facility maintenance, social reintegration programs, healthcare, and various additional services like commissary operations for inmates and guards.
