Grupo SANJOSE closes year 2012 marked by the improvement of its balance sheet and its international expansion

■ Recorded turnover amounted to EUR 658 million with an improvement of the EBITDA of 3.5% increasing up to EUR 87 million
■ International business represents 48% of the total contracts
Grupo SANJOSE recorded in year 2012 a loss of EUR 99 million due to the impact of the extraordinary adjustment of its real estate assets.
The company recorded provisions for a total amount of EUR 155 million in order to adapt real estate assets to market fair value. Without this impairment, the Group would have reached a positive net result amounting to EUR 68 million.
Despite the 12.5% decrease of turnover due to the contraction of the construction domestic market, the turnover of the Group reached EUR 658 million, increasing the EBITDA up to EUR 87 million, improving profitability from 11.2% to 13.2%.
36% of sales correspond to international markets where Grupo SANJOSE continues to expand its business, which represents 48% of total portfolio.
Throughout the year, Grupo SANJOSE has strengthen its international expansion strategy by signing new contracts and agreements with Portugal, Peru, Uruguay, India, Abu Dhabi, Nepal, Cape Verde and Mozambique. Further, it continues to develop its activity in more than twenty countries, such as France, Romania, Germany, Turkey, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Panama, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Angola, Congo, etc.
