SANJOSE will build 580 social housing units in Cape Verde for EUR 17 million

The Government of Cape Verde, trough the IFH, has awarded Grupo SANJOSE for a total of EUR 17.4 million the design and construction of two projects of 300 and 280 social housing units in the islands of Santiago and Boavista, respectively.
▪ 300 social housing units in the Islands of Santiago. The project is located in a plot of land of 20,510 m², where 25,800 m² will be subject to urbanisation works and land will be provided with all basic infrastructure, streets, roads and green spaces. Built surface corresponds to two and three-storey buildings which shall house 300 social homes and a Reintegration Socio-Educational Centre, formed by a group of buildings where administrative, residential, training, health care, sport and entertainment facilities will be located.
▪ 280 social housing units in the Island of Boavista. The project considers a total built surface amounting to 24,424 m², arranged into a series of three-storey buildings which house homes and a fully equipment. Police Station. Said buildings will be located in a plot of land of 33,286 m² which shall be subject to urbanisation works in order to provide the place with basic infrastructure, streets, roads, squares, green spaces, children playground and car park spaces.
These new awardings strengthen the position of Grupo SANJOSE in Cape Verde and Africa. Currently, it is executing several 5* resorts in Cape Verde and has recently been awarded the execution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Congo in Brazzaville; further, its has entered into a MOU with the Government of Mozambique for the implementation of 100,000 housing units and is attending interesting tender procedures for important projects in north Africa.
