The Abu Dhabi General Services, Musanada has recently signed to consortium San Jose Constructora and Arabtec, construction of the new Al Ain Hospital. The decision on the new consortium came after the approval of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, at a meeting held under the chairmanship of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

 

SANJOSE build for USD 900 million a vanguard hospital that will replace the current one in the  ​​Al Ain area (about 160 km.s from the Capital), which works will be carried out overr the next 4 years.

 

The New center extends over an area of 315,000 square metres. It consists 719-bed, of which 484 correspond to general medicine, surgery, maternity and children's room, 67 ICUs, 142 for medical rehabilitation and 26 for VIP Suites and patients Royals.

 

It will also include 104 advanced specialised clinics, 17 radiology rooms for X-ray, 22 specialised rooms for endoscopy procedures and diagnosis orthopedics, specialized orthopedic units of sports medicine, a Regional Centre of Excellence for Rehabilitation Medicine, the first stroke unit dedicated in UAE, cardiology unit of high technology, Research and Training for health Professionals, etc..

 

The project also includes other type of facilities or mon-health services among them logistics center, a power plant of 60 MW, mosque, in addition to an underground parking lot accommodating up to 1,500 cars.

 

The new hospital in Al Ain is part of a series of initiatives led by Musanada, under the guidance of the government of Abu Dhabi, which are orientate at increasing the public health services and improve the quality in order to reach the highest quality standards worldwide.

 

Musanada´s executives commented about the allocation "We are pleased to partner with Sanjose and Arabtec in this great project that will help to attend the needs of the growing population in Al Ain and the eastern region through the provision of services of health services with the highest international standards, according to Abu Dhabi 'Vision 2030'. "

 

According to a McKinsey report, spending the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) in healthcare is expected to increase five times to reach 60 billion in 2025.

 

The unique design of the hospital has successfully combined the latest medical technologies with architecture able to bring you the feeling of a village / oasis of healing where patients can recover. Aesthetically pleasing and exceptionally functional, has spacious and spectacular gardens in a controlled temperature to create an oasis of healing for their patients. The project includes various support units that connect to each other and to the main hospital complex through an underground tunnel system, thus reducing maintenance traffic in patient care areas.

The new Al Ain Hospital reinforces both the global growth of Sanjose as his extensive background in the healthcare sector where it has successfully implemented more than 70 works in large hospitals in Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina and Peru. Also highlight the presence of the Group in Abu Dhabi, where is executing since last January the Louvre Museum designed by Jean Nouvel Pritzker Prize and considered the most emblematic work carried out by the Government of the Emirate in recent years.
