SANJOSE will rehabilitate and transform the urban environment of Gran Vía de Vigo, Pontevedra

The City Council of Vigo has awarded SANJOSE Constructoras the rehabilitation and transformation works of the urban environment of the Gran Vía de Vigo including the redistribution of spaces so as to reduce the role of road traffic and provide pedestrians with places for walking and enjoyment, all in accordance with the "Vertical Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) Vigo Vertical", whose main objective is to turn the city into a more comfortable and accessible place.

The existing layout delimited by the houses is maintained, conserving the current road section but carrying out certain improvement actions that will confer a greater degree of humanisation to the Gran Vía.

The project also includes the renovation of the current pavement, the replacement of service networks, the provision of new urban services (rainwater network) and the modification of the distribution of the central boulevards through the provision of mechanical ramps, new green areas and furniture.
